On Thursday the Los Angles Lakers inked Devin Ebanks to a minimum non-guaranteed deal worth $473,604. There still remains the formality of training camp and officially making the team, overall things are looking great for Devin. The Lakers also signed their other second round pick Derrick Caracter to a similar minimum non-guaranteed deal. The addition of the two rookies gives the Lakers 14 players under contract, so both will have a lot to prove for playing time. The question is if Luke Walton and Andrew Bynum can come back strong from injury problems. Ebanks and Caracter give them plenty of depth if those guys need extra time to be ready.
This happened while I was away on a little vacation, so I’m a couple of days late. It sucks because Devin Ebanks posts account for about 50% of my views, with the Da’Sean Butler posts being the other 50. I’ll take it, I’m happy Devin now has some ink to go along with his relationship with the Lakers. If LA had not signed them, I would have looked pretty stupid looking back on some old posts.
